This minimalist scene of three women bathing in tiered hot spring pools under a pink sky was one of my favorite studies from late 2020. It was inspired by a photograph I referenced from photographer Daniel Scull, and by the simplicity of Japanese wood block prints - the latter which embodies on of my favorite stylistic traditions.
