Merrell approached me in 2018 after finding my work through She Explores. They commissioned me to do a painting that embodied their mission to encourage people to depart regularly from their urban lives, and into the wild for outdoor adventures.

I set out to design a piece with both natural landscapes and architectural features that represented the urban places we weekend warriors dwell. I wanted multiple landscapes to be depicted given that Merrell intended to use the artwork on numerous pieces of apparel intended for a variety of uses.
