I wanted to depict the preciousness of shrinking glacial landscapes in this piece. It feels warm and cozy, despite being a cold place, which contributes to its precious nature - frozen landscapes don’t stick around for long in a warming world. Despite that hard truth, there is fleeting comfort in seeing this arctic landscape captured in perpetuity in this little snow globe.
