Observatory II is part of a two-painting series about how humans experience nature in the modern world. In this piece, a sweeping desert landscape is observed from inside of a large, abstract building with sweeping panoramic windows. The onlookers gaze out at a landscape inspired by Arizona’s Vermillion Cliffs.
