I crowd-sourced the title for this painting, choosing “A Wrinkle in Time” as it reminded me of the dark and dream-like cover art on the 1962 novel by Madeleine L'Engle of the same title. The broken reflection of the moon on this made-up bay’s dark surface serves as a reminder to the viewer that the moon’s wrinkled twin is only a representation of the real thing, fleeting and relative to the perspective from which it is being observed.
